Police Back Parents Through Community Parenting Forum

Police Back Parents Through Community Parenting Forum

Law enforcement officials convened a community parenting forum aimed at helping families navigate the challenges of raising children in today's environment. The event brought together parents, guardians, and local organizations to discuss strategies for supporting young people and strengthening family bonds.

Other participating stakeholders were also afforded an opportunity to educate and inform attendees. Representatives from social services, education, and youth development groups shared resources and practical guidance on topics ranging from discipline and communication to recognizing warning signs of risky behavior. Parents had the chance to ask questions and exchange experiences with one another, creating a space for open dialogue about common concerns.

Organizers said the forum was designed to build trust between police and the communities they serve, while equipping caregivers with tools to address issues before they escalate. Officers emphasized that prevention and early intervention remain central to their approach, and that parents play a critical role in keeping young people safe.

Attendees described the session as informative and welcoming, noting that the informal setting made it easier to raise sensitive topics. Several said they left with a clearer understanding of available support services and a stronger sense of partnership with local authorities. Police representatives indicated that similar forums will be held in the future, with plans to expand outreach to more neighborhoods and involve additional community partners.
