The suitcase is zipped, the flight is booked, and my son is embarking on a life-changing chapter studying abroad in Spain. While I am immensely proud and excited for him, I am simultaneously navigating the complex emotions of letting go. This isn't just a semester away at a nearby college; it’s his first true venture into independence, an ocean away.

My mind races with quiet worries. Did I teach him enough? Not just the practicalities of laundry or budgeting, but the deeper lessons: how to navigate disappointment, to advocate for himself in a foreign language, and to find comfort in his own company.
