A boy is always watching his father, learning how to live by what he sees. According to Brenen Beeler of the Dr. James Dobson Family Institute, the most powerful example a dad can set is simply following Jesus. When a father imitates Christ in his daily actions, he sets the tone for the entire household. This is not about being perfect, but about being consistent in faith, humility, and love.
Beeler explains that a dad who lives for the Lord builds a solid foundation for raising a godly man. Children notice how their father handles stress, treats their mother, and responds to failure. If a dad prays, reads Scripture, and admits when he is wrong, his son learns that strength comes from dependence on God. The goal is not to raise a perfect child, but to point him toward the One who is perfect.
The message is clear: fathers do not need to be superheroes. They need to be faithful. By walking with Christ, a dad shows his son what it means to be a man of integrity. That example will echo through generations.
